Who I am

Kathy Heitz, MS, CCC-SLP

I am a sensory trained, neurodiversity affirming speech language pathologist. I believe in the importance of getting kids regulated and engaged to help them make progress in their communication. I live for the moments of connection, the knowing smiles and sparkling eyes when my kids get the input they need to be able to engage.

I believe in the power of play-based therapy. You will often find me singing, dancing, climbing, jumping, and swinging with my clients because they make more progress when the “work” is meaningful and motivating.

I believe in including caregivers and family members in my therapy. Parents often want to know what they can do at home to help their child. By being involved in therapy activities, caregivers and family members can be confident in how they work on communication outside of speech therapy.
